USAF’s “Operation Shadow Strike”

My second time working with the USAF,  this time I had the pleasure to direct this piece, called “Operation Shadow Strike”. A challenging collaboration between the Air Force, agency GSD&M out of Austin and our great studio, Digital Domain, the piece is a combination of dynamic live action, set extensions and full CG sequences. The 5 minute long piece was a months-long project that required a tremendous amount of logistical coordination with the USAF’s assets and personnel. It’s an immersive 4D experience from start to finish, featuring 3D stereoscopic projection, motion theater seats, sensory effects and 360-degree surround sound, and it will be used by the USAF’s recruiting teams for years to come.
